Adults only
StarMate is for people 18 and older. Don't create an account for anyone younger, don't lie about your age, and don't share photos of anyone under 18 — including childhood photos of yourself. Any sexual content involving a minor, or any attempt to contact a minor, is reported to the authorities and ends the account permanently.
Be yourself
Use your real first name, your own recent photos with your face visible, your real city and your real age. One person, one account. Don't use other people's photos, heavy filters that change who you are, or a profile built to be someone else. Selfie verification exists so people can trust that a profile is a person; don't try to game it.
Respect, and respecting a no
Talk to people the way you'd want to be talked to. If someone declines your request, withdraws, leaves a Plan, stops replying or blocks you, that is an answer. Don't look for another route to them, don't create another account to reach them, and don't bring it up with mutual Community members.
No harassment
No bullying, insults, humiliation, stalking, doxxing, unwanted sexual messages, or repeated contact after someone has said no or gone quiet. No sharing of anyone's private messages, photos, Cosmic Tea readings or personal details outside StarMate without their consent.
No hate
Nothing that attacks or demeans people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, body or immigration status — in profiles, Plans, Communities or chats. "Preferences" that are really slurs are hate. Identity-based harassment has its own report category, and we treat it seriously. StarMate is for everyone.
No threats or violence
No threats, intimidation, encouragement of violence or self-harm, or glorification of violent people or acts. No weapons in photos except in clearly lawful, non-threatening contexts.
No sexual exploitation or coercion
No pornography, no nudity, no sexually explicit messages or photos that were not clearly welcomed, and no requests for them. No pressure, manipulation, guilt or trade — "you owe me", "if you liked me you would" — to get anything physical. No use of StarMate for prostitution, escorting, sugar arrangements, or anything involving trafficking or exploitation.
Consent and boundaries
Consent is clear, mutual and ongoing, and it can be withdrawn at any time. A confirmed Plan is an agreement to meet for that activity, nothing more. A Cosmic Tea reading says nothing about what anyone wants or is willing to do, and quoting it to push someone is a violation. If you're told to stop, stop.
No scams, no money, no solicitation
Nobody can send or receive money on StarMate, and nobody should ask. No requests for money, gifts, gift cards, crypto, loans or financial details; no "investment" tips; no fake emergencies. No advertising, selling, recruiting, promoting other apps or accounts, fundraising or political campaigning. No links to external payment or adult sites.
No impersonation
Don't pretend to be another person, a celebrity, an organisation, or StarMate staff. StarMate will never contact you in a chat to ask for a code, a password or a payment.
Nothing illegal
Don't use StarMate to buy, sell or promote illegal drugs or controlled substances, weapons, counterfeit goods or anything else illegal; don't organise illegal activity through Plans or Communities; and don't share content that infringes anyone's rights.
Content we don't allow
In profiles, prompts, Plans, Communities and chats: sexually explicit text or media; nudity; graphic violence; hate symbols; content depicting or promoting self-harm, eating disorders or drug use; other people's personal information; spam and mass-sent messages; and photos that aren't yours or that show someone who hasn't agreed to appear. Photos are screened automatically before they appear and text is screened before it posts. Something that passes the automatic screen can still be removed on review.
Plan conduct
- Describe a Plan honestly: the real activity, the real time, the real area, and who it's for. A "coffee" that's actually a sales pitch, a party, or a date with someone else is a violation.
- Show up, or cancel in the chat with as much notice as you can. Repeated no-shows lead to restrictions.
- Keep the exact place for approved participants only; don't share other people's Plan details.
- Creators: review requests fairly and answer them; removing someone must be for a reason, not a whim.
- Group Plans are for everyone who joined. Don't use them to single someone out.
Community conduct, moderators and admins
- A Community's rules apply in addition to these guidelines, never instead of them.
- Admins may approve or remove members, appoint other admins, remove messages, rotate the invite link, and set rules — and must apply them consistently and without discrimination. Admin powers are not a licence to harass.
- Don't create Communities that exist to circumvent a block, target a person, or host anything on this page.
- StarMate may hide a Community that breaks the rules; members keep access to their chat, and nobody new can find or join it.
Chat conduct
- Chats open only after something mutual. Treat that as trust extended, not access granted.
- No unsolicited sexual content, no persistence after someone stops replying, no moving people off StarMate to get around these rules.
- Group chats: keep it about the Plan or the Community; take conflicts to reporting rather than pile-ons.
- Mute, leave, report and block are always one tap away.
Reporting
Report a person from their profile, or a Plan, Community or conversation from its menu. Choose a reason — including identity-based harassment — and add details. Reports are confidential: the person is not told who reported them. Reporting a person also blocks them. If you can't report in the app, email support@starmate.app. Knowingly false reports are themselves a violation.
Enforcement
Our safety team reviews reports and automated flags. Depending on what happened and what came before, we may remove content, hide a Plan or Community, issue a warning (visible in the app for a limited time), restrict features, suspend an account for a fixed period, or terminate it. Serious violations — anything endangering a person, sexual exploitation, hate, fraud, content involving minors — end an account immediately, and we notify law enforcement where the law requires or permits. Enforcement never depends on payment, and nothing can be bought to undo it.
Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, email support@starmate.app from your registered address within 30 days of the decision. A person who was not involved in the original decision will review it and tell you the outcome. Confirm the appeal window, reviewer independence, and any statutory complaint-handling requirements for launch markets.
