2. Where This Policy Applies
This Privacy Policy applies to all StarMate experiences — including our iOS and Android apps, official website, events, and digital promotions.
If any of our services ever require their own unique privacy rules (like new AI-powered features or third-party integrations), we'll post those separately — and they'll override this general policy for that specific service.

We do not sell personal messages, birth information, or sensitive profile information to third parties.

6. How StarMate Works with AI
StarMate incorporates AI-assisted systems as part of the user experience, moderation infrastructure, personalization engine, and compatibility recommendations. We design these systems with the goal of improving relevance, safety, engagement quality, and fraud prevention while maintaining human oversight over significant moderation or enforcement decisions.
Our matching and prediction systems use machine learning to:
- Analyze astrological patterns and user interactions
- Improve compatibility scores and communication suggestions
- Detect and prevent spam, fake accounts, and unsafe behavior

9. How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain platform integrity and safety.
- Inactive accounts are automatically deleted after 24 months.
- After account closure, we retain limited data for up to 3 months for safety and fraud prevention.
- Purchase and payment records are retained for up to 10 years to comply with tax and accounting regulations.
- Aggregated or anonymized data (which can't identify you) may be kept for research and product improvement.
10. Children's Privacy
StarMate is a universe for adults (18+). We don't knowingly allow minors to register. If you believe someone under 18 is using StarMate, please report it via the in-app feature or at [email protected].
